To enhance the sound listening experience when using Oculus Quest 2, Logitech has launched Chorus, an open-back headset that can be directly attached to the Oculus Quest 2 headband. It claims to allow users to experience the real sound field in virtual reality while also taking into account the surrounding sounds in the real world to avoid accidents during the experience.
Unlike full-face headphones or in-ear headphones that block external sounds above a certain level, Logitech's open-back design allows users to listen to the sounds of virtual reality scenes while still hearing external sounds, preventing users from being too immersed in the sound and causing accidents such as collisions.
Chorus is hung on the Oculus Quest 2 headband and can be changed in position by sliding. It can even be used with the optional Elite headband accessory. As for power supply, it is through the USB-C port of Oculus Quest 2, but the headset itself also has an additional charging port, which makes it convenient for users to connect to an external power source and recharge the Oculus Quest 2 and the headset at the same time.
Chorus will currently be sold through channels such as Amazon with a suggested retail price of US$99.99, but there are currently no plans to launch it in the Taiwanese market.
