Logitech announced the launch of the new ALTO KEYS K9M mechanical wireless keyboard in Taiwan today (8/98), continuing the brand's long-standing spirit of innovation in keyboard design. This time, it focuses on "efficiency", "personalization" and "sustainability" to meet the multiple needs of modern users for tools.
UniCushion cushioning layer and Marble shaft create a new feel experience
The K98M utilizes a UniCushion cushioning layer combined with a Gasket construction for both noise reduction and soft feedback, making typing quieter and reducing finger fatigue. Logitech also introduces the new Marble switches, which retain the crisp feedback of a mechanical keyboard while reducing the required typing force through a unique structure, making typing smoother even during extended periods.
AI shortcut keys and Logi Options+ software support
In terms of functionality, the K98M features three built-in Action Keys, which can be customized with various shortcuts via Logi Options+ software. These include one-touch access to the AI Assistant (e.g., text generation, voice dictation, etc.), screenshots, emoji insertion, and volume control, making daily workflows more efficient. Furthermore, the keyboard supports multi-device switching via the F1–F3 keys, enabling seamless switching between Windows, macOS, and mobile devices, making it particularly convenient for multitasking users.
Compact design and stylish aesthetics
The K98M features a 98-key configuration, effectively minimizing desktop space while retaining the numeric and arrow keys. Its translucent PBT keycaps and white backlighting provide a clear and immersive experience, day or night. Available in graphite gray, pearl white, and dreamy purple, the KXNUMXM's soft mist texture combined with a transparent frame creates a unique and stylish design.
The keycaps and switches also support hot swapping and high customization, allowing users to freely replace the switches and keycaps to create a unique keyboard style.
Sustainability Commitment and Market Strategy
Beyond performance and design, the K98M also demonstrates Logitech's commitment to environmental responsibility: the enclosure is constructed from recycled plastic and features FSC-certified packaging. Logitech emphasizes that this is not only an extension of hardware innovation, but also a reflection of the brand's long-term commitment to sustainable development.
The K98M will officially launch in Taiwan on September 9th with a suggested retail price of NT$9. The initial release will be available online and offline at Logistore, PChome, MOMO, Shopee, Tsann Kuen, Liangxing, Mitsui, and Yuanjiawu. Purchases during the launch period will also receive a limited-edition, colorful keycap set.
