Logitech earlier announced the update of its new multi-button gaming mouse G604, which is the successor to the previously launched G602. It also emphasizes long battery life and button configurations that can set multiple sets of custom macros.
In terms of overall design, the G604 is not much different from the G602, but each one is equipped with the HERO sensor, LIGHTSPEED wireless connection technology, and Bluetooth dual-mode design that Logitech later adopted. This time, the scroll wheel has been changed to a shuttle form, allowing users to scroll at a faster speed.
In terms of battery life, a single AA battery can sustain approximately 3 hours of gaming time, and even with low-power Bluetooth connection, it can support battery life of more than 240 months.
As for the 15 sets of buttons on the mouse (6 sets of side buttons that can be pressed by the thumb, left and right mouse buttons, the left and right tilt and clickable design of the scroll wheel, two sets of buttons that can be operated by the index finger, plus two sets of function buttons behind the scroll wheel), the user can customize the button macros suitable for the user with the Logitech application.
The G604 is expected to be launched with a price of US$99, but the release date in Taiwan has not yet been confirmed.
