Logitech earlier announced the acquisition of live broadcast control equipment manufacturer Loupedeck, thereby strengthening its product market layout and further expanding development opportunities in the audio and video creation and live broadcast markets.
Loupedeck launched its first Lightroom controller through the fundraising platform Idiegogo, and later turned to the live broadcast market and competed with Elgato, which was later acquired by Corsair. Last year, it also cooperated with Razer to launchLive broadcast controller called Stream Controller.
After being acquired by Logitech, Loupedeck will continue to operate independently, and its existing partnerships and sales models will not be affected. However, it is expected to gradually integrate with Logitech's products. At the same time, Logitech will gradually add corresponding Loupedeck product designs to its existing product lines to achieve higher integration benefits.
Prior to this, Logitech also acquired Streamlabs to enter the live streaming market, and also acquired microphone manufacturer Blue in 2018, apparently hoping to seize greater growth opportunities in the recently growing audio and video creation and live streaming market.
