Created by Otherlab, a research and innovation lab in San Francisco, this electric scooter has large solar panels on both sides.Lightfoot, claiming that it can be fully charged through sunlight without relying on a charger.
Lightfoot itself is driven by a brushless DC motor with a power output of 750W. It can reach a maximum speed of 20 miles per hour (about 32 kilometers per hour) and can generate a peak torque output of 90Nm, which can roughly climb the slopes in downtown San Francisco. The battery specification is 1.1kWh, and a single full charge can travel about 37 miles (about 60 kilometers).
充電部分主要透過兩側120W規格太陽能板以涓流充電方式供電,平均每小時約可充入對應3英里 (約5公里)行駛距離的電量,整天放著充電的話大致可充入對應18英里 (約29公里)行駛距離電量。
Inside the solar panels on both sides is nearly 1.6 cubic feet (approximately 0.05 cubic meters) of storage space, convenient for storing bags while riding or for shopping. The seat and pedals are designed to accommodate up to two people riding at the same time.
In addition, in terms of maintenance, since Lightfoot is mostly made up of existing parts, it is almost not difficult to repair or replace. Otherlab also provides a one-year full vehicle warranty and a two-year warranty service for this electric scooter, and even an unconditional buyback service for old-for-new models, allowing users to continuously update their models and avoid unnecessary waste of resources.
