Before the start of CES 2025, LG once again updated its UltraGear series of OLED gaming monitors. The GX9 series uses a curved WOLED display panel with anti-glare and low-reflection coating, and a built-in webOS operating system.
The 45GX990A UltraGear OLED display features a 45-inch, 5K x 2K resolution. The display panel can transform from a flat surface to a 900R curvature in seconds. The resolution and frame rate can be switched with a single button, and it supports a 0.03 millisecond frame response time, ensuring a smooth display response.
The 45GX950A monitor also features a 45-inch, 5K x 2K resolution, but lacks a curvature adjustment function, maintaining an 800R curvature. It also boasts an ultra-thin bezel design, supporting DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 display outputs, as well as a USB-C connection with 90W power output, allowing it to be connected directly to a laptop. It also supports AMD FreeSync or NVIDIA G-Sync anti-tearing technology.
LG also launched a 39-inch monitor, model 39GX90SA, which also corresponds to a 21:9 aspect ratio and features an 800R curvature design. It also has multiple built-in USB-C ports and can use an OLED display panel to achieve more detailed color and pure black display performance.
