Just like Samsung announced earlier this year that its smart TVIntegrate NFT content display functionLG also followed suitAnnounceAdded NFT content display function to its smart TV products.
However, this feature is currently only available on LG smart TVs using webOS 5.0 or later operating systems, and must be used in the United States.
The LG Art Lab platform within the TV allows users to buy and sell NFT content, as well as display and play it on the TV screen. NFT content will be managed through LG's new digital wallet, Wallypto, and Hedera's underlying distributed network layer, powered by Hedera Hashgraph.
However, compared with Samsung and other companies who use NFT content topics to increase discussion heat, LG's choice to announce the launch of this feature at a time when the NFT craze is gradually fading seems a bit too late. However, it is obvious that LG believes that NFT content still has considerable development opportunities, especially when the development of the metaverse is still in its early stages. In the future, with more technological applications, the topic of NFT content may ferment again and even become a major use project in the future market.
