Lenovo and Asus have successively announcedLaptops with foldable screensLater, LG also announced the launch of the LG Gram Fold, a laptop with a 17-inch foldable screen.
LG claims that this laptop is only 9.4mm thick and weighs 1.25kg. Under normal circumstances, it can be used as a small 12-inch laptop. When unfolded, it can be used as a 17-inch tablet. It can be used with a magnetic Bluetooth keyboard or touch screen for text input, and the screen can also be used as an AIO device.
The screen adopts a 4:3 display ratio, 1920 × 2560 resolution, supports 99.5% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and supports touch operation and stylus touch operation.
The overall user experience of the LG Gram Fold is similar to that of the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED launched by Asus last year, but LG uses its own foldable OLED screen, which is also advertised as having a service life of 3 folds. The processor uses Intel's 13th-generation Core i5 specification, and is equipped with 16GB LPDDR5 memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. The total weight is 1.25 kg, and the battery capacity is 72Wh.
This laptop is expected to be launched in the South Korean market first, with a suggested retail price of 499 million won, equivalent to approximately NT$12, while 200 early bird subscribers can purchase it for 399 million won, equivalent to approximately NT$9.5.
