As a key part of this organizational restructuring, LG will establish a new overseas sales and marketing company, which will be led by Thomas Yoon, formerly the president and CEO of LG North America, and will report directly to LG CEO William Cho.
The newly established Overseas Sales and Marketing Company will play a key role in accelerating LG's growth and strengthening its global brand influence by creating customer value through exploration and development. The newly established company will be responsible for managing the overseas sales branches, the Global Marketing Group, and the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) sales group in North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.
In addition to strengthening the overseas operational execution capabilities of strategically key businesses, including B2B operations, the newly established company will also provide other business units with the necessary assistance in overseas sales expertise, accelerating platform-based businesses, and innovating direct-to-consumer (D2C) business models, thereby promoting the growth of all other business units.
In addition, the D2C Sales Business Group will also expand customer touchpoints by strengthening official online store (OBS) activities and digital marketing capabilities based on customer data.
While maintaining an agile decision-making system across the four business units, LG also hopes to drive further development of original technologies in each business unit to support the company's corporate transformation.
This restructuring also includes the establishment of an Engineering Sales Office within the Air Solutions Business within the Home Appliances & Air Solutions (H&A) Division. This will strengthen engineering capabilities and leverage commercial synergies across the HVAC and core B2B business areas. Furthermore, the Home Beauty Business will be transferred from the Home Entertainment Division to the Home Appliances & Air Solutions Division, further maximizing synergies across the product lineup for the home.
The Home Entertainment (HE) Division will also accelerate its transformation by establishing a webOS software development group to enhance the smart TV user experience. This group will report directly to Park Hyoung-sei, President of the Home Entertainment (HE) Division. Additionally, an Extended Reality (XR) Business Unit will be established directly under the headquarters to develop mixed vision applications.
The Vehicle Solutions (VS) business unit will establish a Global Customer Strategy Office directly under headquarters to develop a comprehensive order and sales management strategy and strengthen marketing functions to accelerate business growth. The Business Solutions (BS) business unit will expand sales and business operations in key regions such as North America, Europe, Central Asia, Asia, and Latin America. The B2B India business unit will be upgraded to the B2B India Business Office to maintain continued growth in the country.
