Samsung announced its2025 Smart TVLater, LG also announced its new smart TV lineup, including OLED evo series TV models equipped with its second-generation α11 AI processor, as well as 4K resolution and 165Hz screen refresh rate.
The new OLED evo series TVs are also certified for NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium anti-screen tearing technology, and can meet gaming needs with lower latency and faster response speeds.
In addition, the new model also has enhanced Brightness Booster Ultimate technology, which can achieve three times higher brightness than traditional OLED TVs while maintaining extreme black performance, and is more compliant with UL Solutions Perfect Black and Perfect Color certifications. At the same time, it can also use fast brightness and color temperature stabilization technology to ensure optimal brightness and color performance during TV viewing. It can also activate the ambient light dynamic compensation function for movie content, allowing movie content to fully reproduce the original filmmaker's original shooting expectations.
The new TVs also feature AI Sound Pro audio technology, which produces surround sound through 11.1.2 virtual channels. AI Remote uses artificial intelligence to recognize individual voices for customized operation suggestions, while Copilot, a collaboration between LG and Microsoft, uses artificial intelligence to conduct precise content searches in a natural conversational manner.
The OLED M5 series, launched simultaneously this time, also supports wireless connection, enabling wireless transmission of audio and video content through a 144Hz transmission frequency, allowing users to use TV functions with simpler wiring. LG expects to apply wireless design to more TV models in the future.
