After announcing several new products, LG unveiled the new gram series of "hybrid artificial intelligence" laptops before the start of CES 2025, including two models of gram Pro, a new 2-in-1 design gram Pro model and an entry-level gram Book.
They use the Intel Core Ultra 200H series processors codenamed Arrow Lake, which are focused on high performance, and the Core Ultra 200V series processors codenamed Lunar Lake, which are optimized for artificial intelligence computing performance, and enable the laptops to support Microsoft Copilot artificial intelligence services.
gram Pro is available in two designs: 17Z17TR with a 90-inch screen and 16Z16TS with a 90-inch screen. Both laptops use a WQXGA (2560 x 1600) LCD screen with a brightness of 400nit. The former can be equipped with a Core Ultra 7 processor, an NVIDIA RTX4050 graphics card, a 90Wh battery and a body weight of 1479 grams. The latter can be equipped with a Core Ultra 9 processor, an Intel Arc display design, a 77Wh battery and a body weight of 1239 grams.
The gram Pro, which is designed as a 2-in-1 device this time, is model 16T90TP. It features a 16-inch OLED display with a WQXGA+ (2880 x 1800) resolution, and also offers an LCD screen with a WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution. The maximum brightness is 400 nits, and the processor can be selected up to Core Ultra 7 specifications. It is equipped with Intel Arc display design, a 77Wh battery and a body weight of 1399 grams. It also provides a stylus function with wireless charging design.
The gram Book launched this time is designed for a wider user group. As the entry-level model, model 15U50T, it uses a 15.6-inch, Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution LCD screen with a maximum brightness of 300nit. It weighs 1700 grams, supports a 51Wh battery, and has a processor with optional specifications up to Core i5 and Intel Xe display design.
In addition to being able to use the artificial intelligence functions provided by Microsoft in the Windows environment, or more third-party companies providing artificial intelligence application services, LG has also launched a Gram chat Cloud subscription service that combines OpenAI's GPT-4o artificial intelligence model. It will be provided free of charge for the first year, allowing users to experience various hybrid artificial intelligence functions that combine device and cloud.
On the device side, LG has also launched an artificial intelligence service that combines the EXAONE large-scale natural language model proposed by LG's Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, allowing users to use a feature called Time Travel, similar to Microsoft's "Recall", to call up web pages, documents, videos or audio files that the user has opened at any time.
