Before the start of CES 2025, LG announced the launch of its 2025 QNED evo series of smart TVs, which cover sizes from 40 inches to 100 inches and further enhance wireless reception and 4K content playback effects.
The newly launched model uses LG's new dynamic QNED color solution and complies with Intertek Color Volume certification, thereby presenting colors that are closer to what the human eye sees. At the same time, the size has been further expanded to 100 inches, providing a larger size model option in the market.
The new model is equipped with the new α8 AI processor, which boasts a 70% improvement in artificial intelligence performance compared to the previous version, capable of processing visual and audio content presented on ultra-large TVs. Furthermore, the new AI technology includes an "AI" button on the new remote control, allowing users to perform personalized searches, providing results based on their viewing preferences and recommendations.
The AI technology analyzes faces, objects, text, and backgrounds within the image, and uses Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro to fine-tune the HDR display and brightness of each area. Furthermore, AI technology can convert two-channel stereo sound into a simulated 9.1.2-channel performance, further separating vocals from background sounds for clearer vocals or more powerful background sounds, all while maintaining a natural presentation.
In addition, previously used in this year launchedOLED evo M4LG has also begun using its 4K 144Hz picture quality audio and video wireless transmission technology in its 2025 QNED evo series smart TVs. It is also connected to the playback device through an external box, and the 4K, 144Hz picture refresh rate picture content can be sent to the TV for playback through the wireless transmission function of the external box. The sound part is wirelessly connected to the Sloundbar output, allowing the TV to be installed in a simpler form and reducing the visual interference of wires.
The operating system uses the new version of webOS 25, and adds more artificial intelligence application functions. In addition, it also cooperates with the webOS Re:New plan, so that the webOS operating system can ensure up to 5 years of upgrade guarantee and provide rich personalized experience improvements.
LG is expanding its QNED lineup with the introduction of a 100-inch option to meet customer demand for ultra-large, premium LCD TVs. The 2025 QNED series will also range in size from 40 to 100 inches.
LG plans to showcase more smart TV products during CES 2025, and expects them to enter various regional markets in the first half of next year.
