Before the start of IFA 2020 this year, LG announced that it would launch an air purifying mask for personal use.PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier, in response to the demand for wearing and using masks caused by the new coronavirus epidemic this year.
According to LG, the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier provides a three-speed adjustable fan design based on the user's breathing conditions, and is equipped with high-efficiency filters on the left and right sides. It also adopts a design that is convenient for long-term wear, allowing users to breathe without burden while wearing it.
To power the fan, the mask has a built-in 820mAh battery, which provides approximately eight hours of use on a single charge. When not in use, the mask can be placed in a UV-disinfected storage case for cleaning and recharging.
However, due to the addition of fans, batteries and other designs, this mask is relatively awkward to wear, and it is uncertain whether the elastic band will press on the ears due to long-term wearing.
Like other LG products, the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier also supports connection to a mobile app, and a reminder message will automatically pop up when the high-efficiency filter needs to be replaced.
In addition, all components of the mask are designed to be replaceable and recyclable, emphasizing the reusable nature of this mask. As for the suggested retail price, it will not be officially announced until IFA 2020.
