Leica has announced an update to its Leica LUX App, adding new lens effects, filters, and post-production adjustments to enhance the iPhone photography experience.
In this update, users can adjust the Leica lens simulation effect in post-production after completing the shooting, and adjust the aperture, focus position, and filter effect, allowing users to readjust the shooting composition and image atmosphere.
The new app also allows iPhones with a 3x telephoto lens to simulate the effects of a 90mm Summilux lens, while iPhones with a 5x telephoto lens can simulate the effects of a 120mm Summilux lens. Furthermore, the filter simulation section now includes two new filter effects: "Leica Chrome" and "Leica Brass," inspired by the classic Leica film photography style.
As for the Leica filter adjustment slider, it currently allows users to adjust it between 0 and 100, giving creators maximum flexibility and allowing users to express their personal shooting tastes.
In addition, in conjunction with the widgets currently available on iPhone, the new version of the app also allows users to activate the Leica LUX App directly from the iPhone lock screen, or use specific Leica lens simulation effects for shooting.
