During CES 2025, Italian vehicle design company Pininfarina collaborated with AC Future, which uses artificial intelligence to create sustainable living solutions, to propose a design "home" that redefines mobile living.
Pininfarina and AC Future's collaborative project won an award at CES 2024 last year. This year, the two parties announced another collaboration to launch three design "homes" for future mobile life.
The proposed "residence" design is divided into three types: "AI-THu", "AI-THt" and "AI-THd", each providing different living spaces and lifestyles. It is also claimed to be able to adapt to more mobile living, remote working and other usage scenarios in the future.
Unlike LG's smart cabins or other new residential concept designs proposed by other companies, the collaborative project between Pininfarina and AC Future mainly uses modular design and combines it with a trailer structure or a vehicle-based design to allow users to change their living location in a short period of time according to their needs, thereby corresponding to changes in living environment after a period of time or changing living locations to meet work needs.
Among them, "AI-THu" is built in a modular form, allowing users to adjust the configuration according to their needs, providing 400 square feet (approximately 37.16 square meters or 11.24 pings) of living space, and can be modularized to create more living or storage space.
"AI-THt" is built in the form of a trailer and is designed with patented expansion technology, allowing the living space to be expanded in a fixed space, providing living spaces such as living room, bedroom and kitchen.
As for "AI-THd", it combines living space with vehicles, which can be moved at any time according to needs. It can also increase living space through patented expansion space, but the overall usable space is smaller than "AI-THt".
