MacRumors websiteAccording to sources, Apple will launchNew iPhone SEIt will be designed based on the iPhone 14, and will be equipped with a Face ID facial recognition function with a bangs-shaped TrueDepth lens design. However, the main camera lens will still maintain a single-group design, but will be changed to a 4800-megapixel specification.
The use of the iPhone 14 design means that the screen size of the new phone will increase again, and it will no longer be equipped with the Touch ID fingerprint recognition interface. This means that Apple’s next iPhone models will use Face ID facial recognition as the main unlocking and authentication interface of the device.
The iPhone SE is also expected to feature the same rectangular bezel design as the iPhone 15 series, and the bottom port may also switch to USB-C, though it's likely to maintain USB 2.0 transmission standards. Furthermore, the action button found on the iPhone 15 Pro and above is also expected to appear on the new iPhone SE.
However, there seemed to be rumors earlier that the new iPhone SE will still maintain the appearance design of the iPhone 8, and may still retain the Touch ID operating interface. But perhaps Apple will adjust the product design in the future to make the new iPhone SE more similar to the new iPhone models, thereby corresponding to the same user experience and attracting the user market with a relatively affordable price.
As for the more important design of the new iPhone SE, it is likely to use Apple's long-rumored self-developed 5G networking chip, which will be used to test the market reaction and verify whether Apple's independent research and development capabilities are in place.
If nothing unexpected happens, Apple will launch the new iPhone SE as early as the spring of 2024, but it may follow past practices and announce it directly to the public through an online press release, and may not reveal it through a specific event.
