Similar to the designs of many sweeping and mopping robots launched by Chinese brands, the Roomba Combo 10 Max sweeping and mopping robot announced earlier by iRobot also adds automatic cleaning and drying mop functions, allowing users to further achieve hands-free cleaning of home floors.
However, since the new sweeping and mopping robot has added more complete automatic cleaning functions, its suggested retail price has increased to US$1399. It is currently only available for sale in the United States and Canada, and will also be sold in the European market in the next few months. The specific launch time in Asian markets including Taiwan has not yet been confirmed.
Compared with the previously launchedRoomba Combo j9 +Similarly, the Roomba Combo 10 Max's automatic water-replenishing dust collection base can be placed in the living room as a "small storage table" without appearing out of place in terms of appearance. However, it has additional automatic mop cleaning and drying functions. The automatic water-replenishing dust collection base is made of antibacterial material and can also immediately collect dust into the storage bag after the sweeping and mopping robot completes the cleaning work. It can accumulate dust for up to about 2 months, and the water tank capacity can correspond to about 7 days of mopping and cleaning needs, allowing users to minimize the number of manual cleaning times.
When the dust bag needs to be cleaned or the water tank needs to be filled with water, the system will automatically remind the user. Of course, the user can also replace it manually.
Like its previous robot vacuums and mops, the Roomba Combo 10 Max automatically identifies floor types. When it detects carpet or other materials, it automatically raises the mop to avoid getting the carpet wet. It can even use image recognition through the front camera to determine where extra cleaning is needed. It also creates a map of your home seven times faster than previous models, automatically marking different room types and using cleaning records to determine the level of cleaning required in different rooms.
In addition, the Roomba Combo 10 Max can also be connected to Google Assistant, Siri, or Alexa digital assistant services, and is expected to support the Matter universal IoT connection specification by the end of this year. If the robot vacuum and mop runs over pet feces due to recognition errors during the cleaning process, iRobot also promises a free replacement within the one-year warranty.
