Apple has long since added the eSIM data transfer function between iPhones to its iOS operating system. In the iOS 26 operating system released earlier, it further added the function of transferring eSIM data from iPhone to Android, or receiving eSIM data from Android devices, making it easier for users to convert eSIM data between different devices.
In the preview test version currently provided to developers, in the "Mobile Services" settings of iOS 26, you can choose "Migrate from a nearby iPhone", "Use a mobile barcode", or "Migrate from Android" through the "Add eSIM" item.
After selecting "Migrate from Android," you can use the Android device with the eSIM data to capture the mobile barcode with the camera, and then transfer the eSIM data to the iPhone through subsequent operations. Alternatively, users can also manually enter the segment identification code and pairing code on the Android device to transfer the eSIM data to the iPhone.
However, whether this function can be used still depends on whether the telecom operator provides this service. For example, due to relevant regulatory restrictions in the Taiwan market, it is still not possible to operate directly on the iPhone. In order to transfer eSIM data to another iPhone, users still have to go to the counter to handle the relevant transfer business. Therefore, even if the eSIM transfer option of "Migrate from Android" is provided in the official version of iOS 26, it may still not be possible to transfer eSIM data provided by Taiwan telecom operators.
