Related news indicates that Intel expects to launch laptop processors and desktop processors in 2026 using the same code name "Nova Lake".
Currently, Intel uses different code names for laptop processors and desktop processors. For example, the processors to be officially launched during IFA 2024 areSecond-generation Core Ultra laptop processor "Lunar Lake", and will subsequently launch a desktop processor code-named "Arrow Lake", and in 2025 will launchThird-generation Core Ultra laptop processor "Panther Lake", while desktop processors will be called "Arrow Lake Refresh".
However, Intel expects to launch its fourth-generation Core Ultra laptop and desktop processors in 2026, which will be uniformly named "Nova Lake". The P-Cores design may adopt the Panther Coves architecture, while the E-Cores will be built with the Arctic Wolf architecture and are expected to be manufactured using a new process node technology.
Prior to this, Intel also used the "Alder Lake" code name for its 12th-generation Core series processors, but in recent years, most laptop and desktop processors have been named with different code names.
