Intel did not disclose the amount involved, nor did it say whether it holds a majority stake in this independent company. However, it emphasized that it is a shareholder and has established an independent board of directors to manage this independent company. The company will not be publicly listed at this stage.
Articul8's CEO will be Arun Subramaniyan, formerly Intel's vice president and general manager of the Data Center and Artificial Intelligence Group. His previous position will be taken over by Justin Hotard, formerly HPE's executive vice president and general manager of supercomputing, artificial intelligence and labs, and he will report directly to Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger.
In fact, Articul8 was originally an enterprise artificial intelligence technology project jointly developed by Intel and Boston Consulting Group. It has now officially become an independent company and has accumulated many artificial intelligence technologies in the past two years.
Intel said that Articul8 will provide complete automatically generated artificial intelligence technology and help customers store data, train and reasoning workflows in the enterprise cloud, deploy on-site, or in a hybrid architecture, allowing customers to configure artificial intelligence technology more flexibly.
