In addition to unveiling the new processors, Michelle Johnston Holthaus, director of Intel's Client Computing Division, once again explained at the CES 2025 pre-show eventCodename: Panther LakeThe next laptop processor has entered the mass production stage and is expected to be officially launched in the second half of this year. It is confirmed to be produced using Intel's 18A process.
Compared to last year's Core Ultra 200V series laptop processors codenamed "Lunar Lake", which were mainly produced using TSMC's process, Intel announced that "Panther Lake" will be produced using its own process technology and will advance the process technology to 18A, thereby emphasizing that Intel's 18A process technology has been successfully mass-produced, and it also means that Intel is still confident in its process technology.
However, Intel did not specify the details of "Panther Lake". It is expected to be announced at subsequent events such as Computex 2025. The official product name may be the Core Ultra 300V series, and the application products are expected to be unveiled during IFA 2025 this year.
Prior to this, Intel hadconfirmThe processors codenamed "Panther Lake" and "Nova Lake" no longer use a memory merged packaging design, in order to meet the needs of cooperating with many OEMs to promote a diversified laptop ecosystem. At the same time, it also allows laptop products designed with processors such as "Panther Lake" to have greater flexibility in adjusting memory capacity design.
