It was recently confirmed that the next processor product code-named "Meteor Lake" will be replaced withNew "Core Ultra" NamingLater, Intel officially announced the addition of the Core Ultra series to its Core series processors, and also emphasized that the processor products code-named "Meteor Lake" will focus on power efficiency and artificial intelligence applications.
After this product name adjustment, the Core Ultra series will be positioned as a processor product that provides more advanced performance and will be more clearly differentiated from the mainstream Core series processors. At the same time, the "i" suffix originally in the Core name will no longer be retained.
The existing performance tiering system of "3," "5," "7," and "9" will also be applied to the Core Ultra series of processors, signifying a further expansion of Intel's processor portfolio. Furthermore, by adding the Core Ultra series, Intel also indicates that it will expand its Evo-certified laptop product selection.
As for the commercial product line, Intel announced the addition of two identification labels, vPro Enterprise and vPro Essentials, to differentiate commercial model levels.
In the previous descriptionIntel said that the processor product code-named "Meteor Lake" will be produced using Intel 4 process and is expected to be released in the second half of this year. It will adopt a new Flexible Tiled architecture design, corresponding to the BGA 2551 socket, and have a hybrid core design of Redwood Cove P Core and Crestmont E Core, as well as low power consumption characteristics. At the same time, it integrates the next-generation tGPU design designed with Alchemist display architecture and the VPU artificial intelligence acceleration element previously used in Movidius products.
