In addition to announcing that brands including Acer, ASUS, Dell, Dynabook, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, Razer, and Samsung will launch more than 150 application products using the 11th generation Core series laptop processors, Intel also announced the launch of a new EVO brand certification based on the second version of the Project Athena design specification, claiming that laptop products that pass this certification will be more suitable for work use needs, and it is expected that at least more than 20 laptops will meet this certification this year.
Models using the 11th generation Core series laptop processors will be equipped with Thunderbolt 4 ports and Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) wireless connection specifications. Models that meet the EVO brand certification ensure a complete wired and wireless connection design, and are equipped with high-quality audio, webcams and displays, while also ensuring that the body adopts a thin and light design.
Like the previously launched Ice Lake architecture design, Intel also uses immersive experience and artificial intelligence technology applications in the 11th-generation Core series laptop processors with Tiger Lake architecture design. Through Intel GNA 2.0 and DL Boost technologies, the new processor can accelerate image, sound and other content processing through artificial intelligence calculations. It can also output to 8K HDR displays or connect four sets of 4K HDR displays simultaneously. It also supports hardware-decoded Dolby Vision display effects and can save about 4% of power consumption at the system level, allowing the laptop battery life to extend the streaming video playback time by about 20 hour.
As for the new Xe display architecture design integrated this time, the performance of the highest-specification Iris Xe Graphics can surpass approximately 90% of independent graphics cards on the market, corresponding to up to 96 EUs and 16MB L3 cache design. It also integrates the DL Boost design to improve artificial intelligence computing performance by up to about 5 times.
Other parts are supported byIntel CET and full-area memory encryption design, thereby increasing hardware-level security, and supporting new encoding technologies such as AV1, as well as environmentally aware image processing effects, and can simultaneously correspond to 4 sets of screen outputs through the Thunderbolt 4 port, and correspond to charging, data transmission and screen output needs through a single connection cable.
