Last year, an enhanced version of the handheld stabilizer was launchedInsta360 Flow Pro, and added many enhanced designs for use with iPhone and support for Apple DockKit. At the same time, it also changed the horizontal rotation to an unlimited design, allowing users to more conveniently shoot 360-degree horizontal tracking images. After that, Insta360 announced the launch of Insta360 Flow 2 Pro to further enhance the free-tilt angle shooting experience, and added functions such as selfie mirror, full-scene tracking and teleprompter to facilitate creators' shooting and use.
This update of Insta360 Flow 2 Pro mainly improves the three-axis stabilization system, allowing it to break through the pitch angle limitation. It not only realizes horizontal 360-degree tracking shooting, but also responds to the needs of lifting, surrounding, pushing and pulling, or ultra-low-angle shooting. This improves the problem that traditional three-axis handheld stabilizers cannot cope with shooting with large angle changes.
This design also supports unfolding the stabilizer to start shooting, and it can be stored in a smaller form after folding. It also supports Apple's DockKit design, allowing users to shoot through the iPhone's native camera app, and can even be used with other video calls, online meetings or live broadcast apps. The iPhone 12 series models also support dynamic telephoto tracking and intelligent multi-person tracking functions (the latter can be used on specific Android models), and the Insta360 App user interface has built-in golden ratio composition lines to facilitate users to create suitable composition pictures, and further enhance the continuous tracking function of the subject.
In addition to operating the gimbal and the Insta360 app's built-in interface, the gimbal can also be remotely controlled via an Apple Watch or another phone as a remote control. It also supports gesture-activated single- or multi-person tracking recording, and even uses the C button on the gimbal to activate the one-touch pan function for capturing 360-degree surround scenes.
The shooting modes include rotation, sliding zoom, trajectory time-lapse, moving time-lapse, and a newly added basketball mode that continuously tracks court dynamics and goal moments. In addition, the built-in artificial intelligence editing function of the Insta360 App can also quickly produce videos.
Other new features include a selfie mirror added to the stabilizer, allowing users to take selfies directly through the phone's main camera. The new user interface also adds a teleprompter function, allowing users to pre-enter the content they need to state during filming to avoid forgetting the words during live broadcasts or filming. The new version has a built-in tripod design that makes it easier to pull out and place the stabilizer. The built-in extended selfie stick function can also increase the shooting distance.
The built-in battery provides approximately 10 hours of shooting time and can be used as a power bank to charge your phone when needed. Like previous stabilizers, the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro also comes with accessories such as a magnetic phone mount, spotlight, and backpack mount.
In terms of suggested retail price, the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro standard set is NT$4990, the creator set that includes additional accessories such as a fill light and a magnetic phone holder is NT$5790, and the Vlog set that includes additional accessories such as a backpack holder is NT$6228.
