DJI announced that it will unveil itsThe first 360-degree panoramic camera, and will even announce itsNew products entering the robot vacuum cleaner market under the Romo brandLater, Insta360 also announced a partnership with Chinese consumer drone brand Antigravity, and the two parties will jointly create the world's first panoramic unmanned aerial camera.
Yingling was officially established on January 1 this year. Its official name is Shenzhen Yingling Technology Co., Ltd. Its business scope includes the manufacturing and sales of smart unmanned aerial vehicles, the manufacturing of wearable smart devices and the sales of wearable smart devices. Its shareholder is Zhuhai Yingling Technology Co., Ltd., and the shareholder of Zhuhai Yingling Technology Co., Ltd. is Yingshi Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., which is the operator of the Insta6 brand. This means that in the future, panoramic camera products will still be promoted under the Insta360 brand, while drone products will be promoted under the Yingling and Antigravity brands.
According to current information, the panoramic drone developed by Insta360 and Yingling will be able to shoot panoramic images with 8K resolution, and the weight of the entire machine is less than 249 grams, which means that there is no need for additional registration or application for relevant operating licenses, and it can be used only by complying with local operating restrictions.
At the same time, as Insta360's panoramic cameras are already capable of shooting 8K resolution images, it is expected that the panoramic unmanned aerial vehicle jointly developed by Insta360 and Yingling will continue to use its panoramic camera design and related technologies, allowing the drone to record clearer image content in a panoramic form, and even be combined with the drone to record more special image presentation effects.
Before this, in fact, many players have already combined panoramic cameras with drones. Even Insta360 launched a drone for DJI drones in 2022.A panoramic camera accessory called SphereAs for the panoramic drone that Insta360 and Yingling are collaborating on, the panoramic camera will likely replace the original camera module on the drone, so a stabilizer system may be added to maintain the stability of the captured images.
In addition, Yingling revealed that its drone has an intuitive flying experience and an intelligent protection mechanism, and can easily shoot movie-level images, allowing anyone to easily operate and shoot the required images.
As DJI is also preparing to enter the panoramic camera market, Insta360 chose to cooperate with Yingling to enter the drone market. It is obvious that both parties want to explore new development opportunities in the other's technical areas of expertise.
