During CES 2025, ASUS launched the 14-inch and 16-inch ExpertBook B5, as well as the small desktop ExpertCenter P500 Mini Tower, to update its commercial models.
Among them, the ExpertBook B14, which comes in 16-inch and 5-inch sizes, uses an Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor. The screen with a 16:10 display ratio can have a maximum resolution of 2.5K and a brightness of 400nits. It can connect up to three additional 4K display outputs. The screen itself can be flattened 180 degrees for use, and the connection port maintains the full Thunderbolt 4 specifications provided by the ExpertBook series.
For business applications, in addition to the Microsoft Windows 11 Pro operating system, it also comes with a TPM 2.0 security chip, a dual BIOS design, a self-encrypting SSD that complies with the TCG Opal 2.0 specification, fingerprint recognition protection, support for smart cards, and a video camera that can identify users through infrared rays to ensure work security. It can also be used in conjunction with ASUS management solutions to allow IT staff to more easily control the usage status of the device.
The 1.36kg model, with a 63Wh battery and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, emphasizes hybrid workspace use and is constructed from sustainable materials. Furthermore, it supports AI applications such as noise reduction, video optimization, text-to-language translation, meeting summaries, and speech-to-text, and is also compatible with Microsoft Copilot.
As for the ExpertCenter P500 Mini Tower, a small desktop computer that was updated simultaneously this time, it is designed for small and medium-sized enterprises with relatively limited budgets. It is advertised to be equipped with up to Intel's 13th-generation Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX4060 independent graphics card, 64GB DDR5 memory, and can use up to 2TB hard drive storage capacity and 2TB SSD storage capacity. The overall operating power consumption is only 95W, and it also uses a silent fan to maintain system operation stability. It can also be easily disassembled and repaired or parts replaced without tools.
