Unveiled the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus processorNew 12-inch Surface Pro and 13-inch Surface LaptopLater, Microsoft also announced the launch ofNew version of Windows user experience, and improve the operating experience of "Copilot+ PC".
This update further simplifies the Windows 11 setting interface and adds a feature that allows you to naturally describe the required setting items, so that the artificial intelligence agent service can automatically find the corresponding setting options. For example, if you enter "How do I control my computer with my voice" or "My mouse cursor is too small", the artificial intelligence agent service will immediately find the corresponding setting items in the numerous menus.
The above features will first be tested on "Copilot+ PC" models equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors through the Windows Insider program, and will then be opened to "Copilot+ PC" models equipped with AMD and Intel processors. However, in the initial stage, it will only support the English interface and other language interfaces have not yet been opened.
As for the "Click to Do" test function that was previewed with the Windows 11 24H2 operating system update last year, the official version has now been released. It can use artificial intelligence to analyze the text or image clicked by the user, and can quickly display relevant information searched with Bing Search, rewrite the selected text, summarize the content, translate it, and even open a text editor, send an email, etc., or blur the background of the image, eliminate specific objects, and other adjustments.
Users can quickly call up the "Click to Do" function by pressing the Windows key and the mouse button, or the Windows key and Q key combination. This function can also be used through the Start menu or screenshot tool. Users can also set shortcut keys through a stylus, mouse, etc., so that the "Click to Do" function can be intuitively called up through shortcut keys.
At the same time, Microsoft also stated that it will continue to enhance the search experience in Windows, and expects to add more search application functions through the Windows Insider project. It also plans to enhance the search experience of the photo function to make it easier for users to find qualified content among many photo contents.
Other updates include the addition of brightness readjustment in the photo function (also previewed first for models equipped with Snapdragon X-series processors), the addition of a texture generation function in the Paint function (only available for "Copilot+ PC" models), and an artificial intelligence-driven object selection function. In addition, the screenshot tool function and auxiliary tools are further enhanced.
Microsoft also announced that it will release more new operating experiences for Windows 11 in the future, such as a new start menu that integrates the phone connection function. It is also preparing to integrate the "Click to Do" function into the file manager and enhance the content organization function of Notepad through artificial intelligence. It is also expected to make the Copilot Vision function currently available for testing into a formal version, but it will only be available in the US market in the initial stage. Other parts include adding a voice call function by long pressing the Copilot key, or waking up the Copilot service with the keyword "Hey, Copilot".
In addition, Microsoft also plans to further enhance third-party software's use of NPU to speed up computing efficiency. It has currently cooperated with Music.AI's Moises Live real-time audio processing tool and Topaz Labs' Gigapixel AI image quality enhancement tool to improve execution speed. Other third-party software that Microsoft plans to cooperate with include Capcut, DJay Pro, Davinci Resolve, Camo, Cephable and Liquidtext.
Microsoft also stated that it will continue to update the Windows user experience and Windows Store user interface to make the Windows operating system more in line with everyone's needs.
