IKEA AnnounceA series of support measures will be launched. Matter Open Source Smart Home StandardThe company is launching a brand new range of IoT products. The 21 new products primarily fall into three categories: "lighting," "sensors," and "control," upgrading existing products and unlocking more application possibilities for smart homes.
"We are upgrading our most popular products while adding new ones to address more everyday challenges," said Stjepan Begic, an IKEA product developer. "Our focus is on maintaining ease of use from setup to everyday use, so that anyone can easily get started, use, and expand their smart home."
Lighting: 11 KAJPLATS Smart Bulbs
In the lighting category, IKEA has launched 11 new products under its KAJPLATS smart bulb series. This series will offer a variety of shapes and sizes, all supporting the Matter standard and featuring dimming functionality.
Sensors: MYGGSPRAY motion sensor, ALPSTUGA air quality sensor
Another major highlight of this new product line is the addition of five new smart sensors, which complete IKEA's product portfolio in environmental sensing:
• MYGGSPRAY: Indoor/outdoor motion sensors can automatically trigger lights.
• MYGGBETT: Door and window sensors can send notifications when doors and windows are opened or closed.
• TIMMERFLOTTE: Temperature and humidity sensor.
• ALPSTUGA: Air quality sensor.
• KLIPPBOK: Leakage sensor.
Control: GRILLPLATS Smart Socket and BILRESA Remote Control
In terms of control, IKEA has launched the "GRILLPLATS" smart socket. This socket can not only integrate table lamps or other home appliances into smart control (remote switching), but also track energy usage.
In addition, there are four remote control products belonging to the "BILRESA" series, including:
• Dual-button remote control: It allows you to turn lights on and off, adjust brightness, and set preset scenes.
• Scroll wheel remote control: Similar in function, but the dimming operation is enhanced by using a scroll wheel.
• Set Combination: Both types of remote controls will also be available in "three-piece sets".

IKEA stated that the specific pricing and release date of the new products may vary depending on the market. However, according to a previous announcement in July, these new Matter smart home products are expected to be rolled out gradually starting in January 2026.
