IKEAEarlier announcement, will produce more green energy by the end of 2019, and plans to achieve a zero carbon balance goal by 2020, and expects to produce more energy for its own use by 2030.
Although many companies are currently implementing environmental protection by producing more green energy to achieve a "neutral" effect on their own carbon emissions due to operational needs, it actually still has a substantial impact on the environment. Therefore, whether to invest more in green energy production, or even achieve the goal of using 100% green energy, has clearly become an indispensable development project for large enterprises.
IKEA earlier announced that it will achieve a zero carbon balance goal by 2020, and plans to produce more energy for its own use by 2030, including an investment of US$28 billion in solar and wind power generation. It also plans to sell home solar panel application products in the global market, so that more consumers who use IKEA furniture products can also help promote the use of green energy.
On the other hand, IKEA will continue to enhance the recyclability and reusability of its furniture products, while minimizing the carbon footprint throughout the entire production process. Product design will incorporate environmental protection, reduced energy consumption, and greater durability considerations. IKEA restaurants will even add more vegetarian dishes to their menu.
