Launched under the nova brand, the nova Flip, the brand's first foldable phone, is also targeting the female user market. Compared with the previous Huawei Pocket series, it will be designed at a more affordable price.
In terms of hardware specifications, the nova Flip is powered by Huawei's Kirin 8000 5G processor, paired with 12GB of RAM, and available in 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage capacities. The battery is a 4400mAh unit with support for 66W wired fast charging. The main camera, located next to the external screen, features a 5000-megapixel wide-angle lens with an RYYB sensor, and an additional 800-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with 2cm close-up capabilities. The video camera on the internal screen is a 3200-megapixel unit.
Unlike most current brands, the external display is a 2.14-inch, 60Hz refresh rate display, offering the ability to display fun content, mini-games, virtual pets, and real-time information during calls. The internal display is a 6.94-inch, Full HD+ resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate.
In terms of the suggested retail price, nova Flip will be sold at a starting price of RMB 5288. Pre-orders are now open in the Chinese market. It will be available in four colors: New Green, Sakura Pink, Zero White and Starry Black. The operating system uses the new version of Hongmeng operating system.
