Huawei earlier confirmed that it will officially unveil Hongmeng OS 7 on July 27, which may be accompanied by the launch of the new Mate 3.0 series of mobile phones and more devices using Hongmeng OS.
Prior to this, Huawei had already conducted beta testing of the HarmonyOS 6 version in June, which enhanced fluency, privacy and security, interface design, and super terminal applications, and readjusted program data access permissions. It also ensured privacy and security through fuzzy positioning functions, and also added anti-fraud functions.
As for other parts, it is expected that the super desktop will be strengthened, the card function of the lock screen will be added, and the folder size will be adjustable. In addition, the API resource version of the SDK tool group will be improved, and the JS/eTS program development application will be strengthened to improve the system execution smoothness.
In addition to the 3.0 version of the Hongmeng operating system, Huawei is expected to announce the new Mate 50 series of mobile phones, including the standard Mate 50, the Mate 50X with a large-size screen design, the high-end Mate 50 Pro, and the entry-level Mate 50E. It is also expected that Huawei will continue to cooperate with Porsche Design on the Mate 50 RS.
As for network connectivity, the phone itself still only supports 4G connectivity. It will use the 8G version of the Snapdragon 1 Gen 4 processor and the Snapdragon 4+ Gen 8 processor that also only supports 1G connectivity. However, some models will use the Kirin 9000S processor developed by Huawei's HiSilicon Semiconductor, and will enable the phone to obtain 5G connectivity through a phone case accessory with built-in 5G connectivity.
In addition to mobile phone products, Huawei is also expected to unveil Free Buds Pro 2 true wireless headphones, S Pro 86 smart screen, new MateBook X, new MatePad Pro 11, and the Enjoy 50 Pro mobile phone that will be sold in cooperation with telecom operators.
