Vivo officially launched in the Chinese marketX300 series flagship phoneAfterwards, the author actually took the X300 Pro to Shanghai Disneyland for actual shooting experience. It can be found that from real-life shooting such as daytime parades to handheld shooting of high-altitude fireworks at night, Shanghai Disneyland strictly restricts the carrying of tripods and can only rely on handheld shooting. The X300 Pro can almost meet most shooting needs.
When announcing the X300 series flagship phones, vivo stated that photography is the most commonly used function on mobile phones. However, in most cases, users shoot handheld, often without the aid of tripods, fill lights, or other accessories. This makes shooting in low-light conditions at night or in bright environments with backlighting quite challenging. Furthermore, many people also want to use their phones to capture wide-angle and long-distance shots, which were previously almost impossible.
However, as mobile phone camera specifications and technology continue to improve, and with the help of AI functions, vivo's X300 series flagship phones first meet users' needs for obtaining clear images no matter what the shooting situation, and then meet their needs for maintaining a clear user experience even through telephoto focal length shooting.

Handheld video performance:
X300 Pro gimbal-grade optical image stabilization and AI-involved stable shooting mechanism
The X300 Pro we experienced this time features gimbal-grade OIS ± 1.5° and CIPA 5.5-stop image stabilization on its wide-angle lens, paired with an f/1.57 aperture and a Sony LYT-828 1/1.28-inch sensor, allowing users to capture clear images while handheld and stable in most scenes. The telephoto lens also boasts a CIPA 5.5-stop, f/2.67 aperture, and a 1/1.4-inch ICOCELL HPB sensor developed in collaboration with Samsung. Combined with ZEISS T* coating to reduce lens light reflections, it can capture even clearer image details at 2 million pixels.
During handheld shooting, you can actually feel the stabilization mechanism continuously intervening to maintain image stability. This is especially true when capturing long-range shots through a telephoto lens. Even when using the hybrid optical and digital zoom, the system continues to maintain image stability, making it easier for users to compose handheld shots. (However, at the longest telephoto focal length, a tripod may still be needed for further stability.)
After the shooting is completed, in addition to recording more image details through the 2-megapixel sensor, the overall detail accuracy is improved through AI calculations, making the shooting image clearer.

Telephoto isn't enough? A teleconverter will do the trick
Like last year's X200 Ultra, vivo's X300 series also includes a Zeiss 2.35x external teleconverter that can be attached via a dedicated protective case. The difference lies in the X300 Pro and X300, where each uses a 2-megapixel sensor for its telephoto and wide-angle lenses, resulting in different teleconverter mounting locations. Both models utilize the 2-megapixel sensor for telephoto and wide-angle capture.
After installing the teleconverter and turning on the telephoto shooting mode, you can directly shoot from the 200mm equivalent telephoto focal length. At this time, you can still shoot handheld under certain circumstances, so there is almost no problem in shooting for concerts, bird watching, etc. However, once the shooting focal length is further extended, a tripod must be used to keep the camera shooting picture stable.
However, in most cases, teleconverters are rarely used to capture images, and are usually only used for a few specific shooting purposes. Therefore, the main design concept of the X300 series is to allow users to capture telephoto images in most situations by handheld mode without using a teleconverter, and to record images more clearly. As for the teleconverter, it is only used for the few shooting needs that require a longer telephoto.
The actual shooting location is as follows, which is still quite far from Cinderella Castle:

More shooting functions
• AI portrait mode brings surprises, with 13 styles to choose from
The vivo X300 series introduces a new AI style experience, continuing the "Four Seasons" portrait mode of the previous generation. This time, three categories of "Time", "Region", and "Creativity" have been added, providing a total of up to 13 style options, including clear sky, dawn, sunset, night, snow village, desert, island, Jiangnan, oil paint, cyber, animation, Chinese style and fireworks.
Users only need to switch to "Portrait Mode" in the camera interface and turn on the "AI" icon above to instantly switch between different atmosphere styles. However, this function requires an Internet connection for real-time calculation, so it is recommended to use it in an environment with a good Internet connection quality.
• AI pedestrian removal, automatically removes interference the moment you take a photo
Unlike the post-production smearing or circle selection methods that most people have gradually become familiar with, the vivo X300 Pro's "People Removal" function uses AI calculations to directly identify and remove background pedestrians or distractions at the moment the photo is taken, allowing pedestrians to be removed directly after the photo is taken, without the need for additional photo retouching.
• Flash portrait automatic fill light, precise lighting at all focal lengths
The X300 Pro automatically adjusts flash intensity based on shooting distance, and uses full-focus flash technology to precisely fill in the ambient light, creating natural, three-dimensional portrait lighting effects. Even at night or in low-light indoor scenes, it preserves skin tone details, avoiding overexposure or whitening.
• Dynamic photo upgrade, ultra-clear recording combined with anti-shake
Vivo has upgraded its Live Photo feature to ultra-clear recording, combining stabilization and instant snapshot capabilities. It also supports converting videos into high-definition dynamic photos. After shooting, you can freely change the cover image by tapping the "f" icon above the photo, making every frame a special moment.
The vivo X300 series is expected to be launched in late October
According to the vivo Taiwan team, the X300 series is expected to be launched in the Taiwan market in late October. The X300 Pro and X300 will be launched simultaneously, each offering four color options. The Taiwan team also revealed that it will strive for sufficient shipments to meet market demand.
