GrammarlyAnnounceAcquired Coda, a startup that launched artificial intelligence productivity tools such as Coda Docs and Coda Brain, and will integrate Coda's technology into Grammarly services to improve user efficiency.
After the merger with Grammarly, the new CEO will be Shishir Mehrotra, the former CEO of Coda, while the current Grammarly CEO Rahul Roy-Chowdhury will step down and become an advisor.
However, when announcing the acquisition, Grammarly did not disclose the amount.
Coda was founded in 2014 by Shishir Mehrotra and Alex DeNeui, who previously worked at Microsoft and Google. It mainly provides multi-person document editing services based on the cloud, and integrates application functions such as spreadsheets, slides, and word processing, allowing users to edit and create various types of documents.
The acquisition of Coda will transform Grammarly into an AI-driven productivity tool service platform, which will not only help users write content more appropriately with existing technologies, but also improve document creation efficiency through Coda technology.
