Google announces its latestVideo Generation Model Veo 3Veo 3 Fast is now officially available on the Vertex AI platform. Since its release in May of this year, Veo 5 has generated over 3 million videos. Since its preview launch in June, it has attracted over 7000 million videos created by enterprise users, demonstrating the market's high interest in high-quality AI video generation tools.
Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast, which were launched simultaneously this time, provide video creation solutions for different usage scenarios, allowing users to produce multiple versions of videos in a short period of time and quickly respond to market changes.
Veo 3 emphasizes professional quality and narrative control, supporting 1080p high-definition video output and native audio generation for accurate lip syncing and background sound effects, making it ideal for applications such as advertising, product introductions, and internal training. Veo 3 Fast, designed for content requiring rapid production and iteration, balances speed and image quality, making it particularly suitable for social media videos, marketing concept testing, and image animation.
Google also announced that the Veo model will provide a preview version of the "Image-to-Video" function through the Vertex AI platform in August. Users only need to provide a static image and a short text prompt to generate an approximately 8-second dynamic video, helping to transform existing visual materials into more attractive content.
In terms of practical applications, the renowned design platform Canva has integrated Veo 3 technology into its Canva AI platform, enabling users to create social and marketing videos with a simpler interface while maintaining high-quality video and creative freedom. Cameron Adams, Canva's co-founder and Chief Product Officer, stated that Veo 3 allows users to more intuitively translate their ideas into visuals, while also providing security protection with Canva Shield.
To enhance enterprise-level application scenarios, Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast also feature built-in SynthID recognition technology, which embeds a digital watermark in each video to ensure the authenticity of the content source and prevent misuse. They also incorporate Google's generative AI service guarantee terms to help businesses balance responsibility and risk control when expanding their use of AI tools.
Through integration with the Vertex AI platform, the Veo series models will become a key enabler for enterprises to introduce AI video creation workflows, demonstrating greater possibilities for future content generation, whether improving production efficiency, creative flexibility, or building global visual content.
