In this year'sGoogle NEXT'25,Google I/O 2025Later, Google also outlined a blueprint for the next-generation office driven by generative AI at the "Gen AI at Work Taipei 2025" event held in Taipei, emphasizing the redefinition of the collaborative experience through "seamless AI" and "co-creation."

Unlike traditional manufacturers who adopt a gradual transformation approach, Google Workspace is built in a cloud-native form and can deeply integrate AI in communication, content creation, storage and real-time collaboration, allowing generative AI technology to truly be integrated into daily workflows.
Google Workspace, powered by Gemini AI, features three key advantages: ready-to-use AI support, multimodal content creation capabilities, and built-in security and accountability. Google notes that over 20 customers worldwide have adopted Gemini AI, triggering over XNUMX billion AI-assisted interactions each month.

From tools to intelligent collaborators
Google is evolving AI from a passive tool to a proactive collaborative partner. For example, Gmail's new "Inbox Cleanup" feature allows users to archive or delete specific emails at once. Google Chat's conversational collaboration feature instantly generates summaries and to-do lists. Google Meet's Gemini side panel syncs meeting highlights and actionable items, even helping latecomers or those multitasking to quickly catch up on the discussion.
Editing features in documents and spreadsheets are also being enhanced through AI. Google Docs' "Embellish" feature intelligently modifies writing, content, and structure. Google Sheets' "Analyze" feature and the upcoming AI functions proactively mine data for insights and automatically generate interactive charts, significantly lowering the barrier to entry for data processing.
In addition, the newly added Workspace Flows allows AI to automate workflows across different apps and third-party tools, thereby helping users speed up overall work efficiency. It is suitable for a variety of usage scenarios, including offices and front-line sites.

Breaking down barriers of skills and language
Google Drive now supports "folder-level questions", which can use the entire folder content as a knowledge base and perform cross-file summaries and comparisons, allowing users to more conveniently ask various questions about project data without having to spend time searching through numerous files.
The PDF file summary function can even reply in Traditional Chinese, thereby shortening the time spent reading and understanding foreign language materials. In addition, the real-time voice translation in Google Meet attempts to overcome the communication barriers between languages and can even "communicate" in a tone close to the speaker's original voice, making the conversation process more natural. The voice summary function of Google Docs provides a more flexible way to obtain information.
Accelerate content generation and re-creation
In terms of visual and audio-visual generation applications, Google Slides can use Imagen 4 to generate more detailed images, while Google Vids can directly generate videos and support functions such as converting presentations into videos and adding AI virtual portraits, thereby reducing the time and cost of large-scale content production.

Changing traditional working methods
Through this series of upgrades, Google Workspace is moving from a simple office tool suite to a cross-application, cross-language, and cross-format intelligent work platform, making AI no longer just an auxiliary, but the core driving force of daily collaboration and creative processes.
Google stated that AI technology has developed rapidly in a short period of time and has made traditional work more efficient, even breaking down language and skills barriers. For example, it allows tasks that originally required time to compile data and gain insights into key points to be completed in a shorter time. It also allows people to quickly convert unfamiliar foreign languages into their own language and quickly generate images and audio-visual content as needed, making it possible for tasks that previously required the collaboration of many people to be completed by a single or smaller number of people.
In Google's view, the development of AI technology is not intended to replace traditional manpower, but to further enhance users' capabilities and enable AI technology to help shorten working hours, allowing users to complete their work in a more efficient manner.
