Regarding the Workspace service update, Google announced the launch of "Google Vids", a video creation tool that uses artificial intelligence to assist in production. It also integrated many Vertex AI platform resources to bring more artificial intelligence features to the Workspace service, and also used artificial intelligence technology to ensure that important information is not leaked.
The Google Vids video creation tool, announced this time and expected to be available through Workspace Labs in June this year, will allow users to quickly create through text commands and access tens of thousands of high-quality video, image and background music resources to help users create rich content videos faster, and even generate more vivid video works directly from pre-recorded content.
This feature not only helps users create videos faster, but also allows them to quickly present complex work content through videos. For example, they can use artificial intelligence to summarize recent work updates and present them in video format for others to quickly understand. On the other hand, videos can also be used to introduce company services in a more vivid way.
In addition to launching Google Vids, this update also brings HubSpot's customer management tool extension to Workspace's Gemini artificial intelligence service, and enhances Gmail's letter draft assistance features, such as allowing artificial intelligence to write more precise letter drafts and adding voice commands to the "Help Me Write" function in the mobile version of Gmail.
The Google Meet function will also integrate many artificial intelligence technologies to make online meetings and messaging easier. It will provide "Take notes for me" and instant messaging summary functions, as well as instant translation functions that support 69 languages. It will be available at a price of US$10 per person per month.
Other features include the integration of Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) within Google Chat, increasing the number of online chat users to 50, and enabling cross-control with Slacks and Microsoft Teams. In Google Docs, Gemini AI now automatically generates cover images, adds pagination, and enhances the calculation capabilities of Google Sheets.
As for the security part, it adds many artificial intelligence-based security expansion functions, while also reducing the risk of data leakage in services such as Google Drive and Gmail. It also strengthens the protection effect of anti-quantum computing cryptography to prevent others from maliciously cracking and infringing on information privacy. It will also be charged at US$10 per person per month.
Google emphasizes that its Workspace service provides simple deployment and management features, and can be used in any scenario in the form of native cloud and mobile platforms. It can also use artificial intelligence to assist with usage needs while ensuring data privacy and security. It currently attracts more than 30 billion people worldwide, including Verizon, Uber, the Golden State Warriors, PennyMac Real Estate Services, Pepperdine University, Fox Sports, CodePath, and Victoria's Secret's Adore Me brand are all Google Workspace users.
