Google adds Chinese to its AI note-taking service NotebookLM's voice summarization featureMore than 50 languagesAfter adding the interactive mode, it was earlier announced that it will launch its independent App on May 5, allowing users to use this service more conveniently.
The independent app will be released on Android and iOS platforms respectively, and is expected to be available for use on the first day of Google I/O 2025. User registration and reservations are currently open.
The App version will retain all the functions of the web version, allowing users to upload web URLs, YouTube videos, document content, etc., and compile and analyze them through Gemini artificial intelligence technology, and create analysis reports through the voice summary function, and even ask questions about the report content.
In the previous update, NotebookLM was further expanded to support more than 50 languages, allowing users of mainstream languages including Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, German, French, Arabic, Korean, etc. to easily organize document data through NotebookLM and output it as voice conversation discussion content. It is not only convenient for users to "read" by listening, but can even be directly created as podcast content.
In addition, Google has also added an interactive mode to the voice summary function in beta form, in which an "host" formed by artificial intelligence will actively answer questions from users or ask users related questions in return.
