It was previously revealed that the cloud streaming service Stadia will be launched this fall. Earlier at the Made by Google event, Rick Osterloh, head of Google hardware products, announced that it will go online on November 11 this year.
The Stadia service is expected to be launched first in the United States, Canada, Europe and the United Kingdom, and the dedicated controller can also be used on other platforms. It is basically designed as a standard USB HID controller, so it can be used on different platforms via USB wired connection, but the actual compatibility will be based on the support of different platforms.
In terms of mobile device compatibility, although Google has promised to support both Android and iOS devices, it will initially only be available on Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, as well as tablet devices that support Chrome OS. More Android and iOS devices will then be opened for play. At the same time, users can purchase games through the Stadia app on Android or iOS platforms.
As for Stadia, it will be able to add multiplayer online gaming mode during its initial operation, but there are currently no plans to include VR game content.
In the registration application section, Google also emphasized that after applying to use the Stadia service through a Google account, a set of activation codes will be provided. Users can use this code to activate the Stadia service for different accounts, which means that users can apply for and play Stadia-included games through different email accounts.
