Google earlier released call placement and network sharingFEATURES, allowing users to operate more conveniently between different Android devices.

Among them, call casting allows users to connect video calls between Android devices logged in to the same Google account. For example, users can use the cast button in the Google Meet App that currently supports this function to push the video call from the original device to another device. The actual experience is similar to the original operation process of pushing the playback content to other devices through Google Cast technology.
Currently, the call projection function only supports the Google Meet App, but it is expected that more apps will be opened to use in the future. At that time, users should be able to send the video call content on the Chromebook to the Android phone via push. In addition, the video call content on the Android phone can also be pushed to Android TV or Google TV for continued use.
The network sharing function allows Android phones and Chromebooks logged into the same Google account to share the same network sharing hotspot, which is somewhat similar to Apple's personal hotspot sharing, allowing users to use the hotspot to access the Internet with a simple click.
However, Google did not explain in detail how it works, but users must turn on Bluetooth and device positioning functions in order for devices to confirm the connection with each other.
As for the released function, it is still in the beta testing stage and is only available for devices with Google Play service version 24.28.34 or later and Android 11 or later.
