In addition, Google is also collaborating with Japanese manga publishers on a new way to present content, allowing users to directly preview free chapters of different manga. Users can preview without even downloading the app in advance. Live events and trailers, or editorial selections and user reviews are also provided for specific content. However, this feature is currently only available in Japan and is not yet available in other countries and regions.
This update also adds options for selecting more personal preference types, allowing users to more easily and accurately find games or application services that meet their personal needs through search. More detailed information will also be added for game content, such as adding YouTube videos provided by developers and obvious promotional activities to attract more users to download content. However, this feature is currently only available in English-speaking countries and regions, and will be available in more regions later.
Google has also updated its $5 monthly subscription service, Google Play Pass. In addition to adding popular games like Asphalt Legends Unite, Candy Crush Saga, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Kingdom Rush 9: Alliance, it also adds a feature that allows users to play multiple games simultaneously on PC devices.
As for personalization features, Google will also give each person a different theme on the Google Play Store page based on their download and purchase preferences, thereby encouraging users to continue using more games or apps that suit their personal preferences. Regarding personal privacy, this update also allows users to adjust how the Google Play Store uses their data, while also preventing specific games, apps, and services from being associated with their personal data.
Other updates include adjusting the Google Play points rewards method. Super weekly prize events will be launched in countries and regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, where more users download and pay for content. Diamond, Platinum, or Gold members will have the opportunity to win prizes such as Pixel products and Razer gaming peripherals. In addition, the company is also cooperating with Marvel Games and Kabam developers to hold a physical membership event at the San Diego Comic-Con, giving eligible players the opportunity to win Marvel collectibles or take photos with superheroes and villains.
