Google launched the Google Play Games service on Windows PC in early 2022 and provided it in beta form. In addition to being available in Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan, it has also confirmed its entry into the Japanese market in April this year and announced its participation in theSupports 4K resolution display output and supports PlayStation and Xbox wireless controllers.
This update mainly adds the ability to select the display resolution specification from a menu called up by pressing the "Shift" + "Tab" key combination in any game. The PlayStation and Xbox wireless controllers support the PlayStation 4's DualShock controller and the PlayStation 5's DualSense controller. It also supports the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One controllers.
In addition, Google has also added a search function to all games in the Google Play Store, making it easier for users to find the games they want to play.
As for game support, there are currently at least 3000 games on the shelves, and users can automatically synchronize their game progress through Google's Internet service when playing games on mobile phones, Chromebooks and Windows PCs.
Google stated that by porting popular games from the Google Play Store to Windows PCs, they hope to provide users with a seamless gaming experience across mobile phones, tablets, and PCs. Furthermore, Google is using emulators to match the mouse and keyboard interface on Windows PCs, as well as optimizing for touch controls.
