After several beta tests, Google finally releasedOfficial version of Android 13However, the upgrade will still be given priority to the Pixel series models, and OEM brand models will be updated later according to their respective schedules.
According to Google's previous explanation, the update focus of Android 13 is on three aspects: "mobile-based user experience", "user experience outside of mobile phones", and "making life more convenient".
This includes making it easier for users to review photos taken with their phone's camera, while also improving privacy and security on their phones and giving users greater control over their personal data. It has also been confirmed that Android 13 will include the ability to set different language interfaces for apps, allowing users to individually set the phone's interface display language and the language interface used within a single app to meet language usage needs in different situations.
Android 13 will also cooperate with many telecom operators and mobile phone operators to provide RCS SMS services, and protect the content of group text messages with end-to-end encryption to ensure the privacy and security of users' communications.
In conjunction with the Android 13 update, the mobile payment service previously promoted under the name Google Pay has been renamed Google Wallet. However, the local version of Google Pay service originally provided for the local area will still be retained in India, while the United States and Singapore will retain both the existing Google Pay service and the new version of Google Wallet service.
Android L, which was previously launched to enhance the user experience of large screens and tablets, has been further improved in Android 13. Even the apps provided by Google itself are fully compatible with the large-screen usage mode. At the same time, more third-party apps optimized for large-screen use will be added.
In the interconnected application section, Android 13 further enhances the Chromecast wireless casting experience and adds more cooperative brands. The automatic switching function allows headphones that were originally connected to the mobile phone to automatically connect to the Chromebook when the user switches to using the Chromebook. It can even answer mobile phone calls or receive text messages through the Chromebook.
