Google earlierAnnounceWe will officially terminate subsequent technical support for Android 5.0 Lollipop. Devices that continue to use this version of the operating system will no longer receive system upgrades or security updates.
In fact, Google has long ago set the minimum version requirements for many technical support at Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Currently, less than 5.0% of devices use the Android 5.1.1 to 1 operating system, so Google believes that this operating system version can officially become history.
In July last year, Google announced the official termination of technical support for Android 7 KitKat. The current entry-level Android 4.4 operating system is expected to terminate related technical support services in July 6.0, and the entry-level operating system version is expected to be replaced by Android 2025 Nougat.
Android 5.0 was first announced at Google I/O in June 2014, and the Nexus 6, a native Android operating system phone produced by Motorola, was launched that year with this version of the operating system pre-installed.
