Google earlierUpdate its Google Maps service, making it easier for users to know which entrance to enter when they arrive at their destination, or indicating the location of nearby parking lots.
Many people are probably accustomed to using Google Maps to find locations, and even use it as a basis for navigation when driving. However, when arriving at a place you visit for the first time, you may feel panicked because you are unfamiliar with the road conditions, cannot confirm the correct entrance, or don't know if there is a suitable parking spot nearby.
Therefore, in an earlier update, Google Maps added an additional navigation function that will indicate the location of specific building entrances or display information about nearby parking lots when arriving at a destination, allowing users to use the navigation function with greater peace of mind.
This feature is expected to be launched in global markets in the coming weeks and will be available for use with Google Maps services on Android, iOS, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Other updates include adding reminders in the Waze navigation service that specific roads have speed cameras, specific vehicle-only roads, and technological enforcement for behaviors such as not wearing seat belts and making phone calls while driving. This information comes from public data provided by local governments or information added by Waze service community users.
Regarding the previously launched accident reporting function, this update increases the size of the report button, allowing users to report road conditions more intuitively while driving. This will make it easier for Waze and Google Maps users to take detours in advance or pay more attention while driving.
This includes Waze's new road condition alerts and new report button size adjustments, which are now available on Android and iOS devices worldwide.
