Google recently released three major updates for Google Maps, including the ability to choose different navigation methods, making it easier for users to discuss travel itineraries with friends and family through a list of attractions, and adding more emoji feedback and interactive features for reviews of attractions and restaurants.
Among them, there will be more customized options in the navigation mode. Users can decide to use the navigation options to have fewer transfers, less walking, or choose wheelchair-accessible and lower fare options. Transfer information, exit locations, and estimated time will also be displayed during the navigation process.
The feature will be available in more than 80 cities, including Berlin, Boston, London, Madrid, New York, Paris, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Toronto, and will be available on Android and iOS devices in the coming weeks.
The list sharing function will add a custom image function, making it easier for users or shared objects to identify on the map. At the same time, users can use emojis to vote on the shared content of the list, making it easier for users to discuss travel attractions directly through Google Maps, thereby improving itinerary planning efficiency. It is expected to be launched in the next few weeks.
Previously, users could only select "helpful" or "unhelpful" feedback for comments such as photos and videos uploaded by others about tourist attractions. This update now adds the option to respond using emojis, allowing users to express more feedback emotions and allowing more people to easily understand the relevant evaluation feelings.
