Google earlier updated itsSearch Security Policy, will make it easier for users to remove false and explicit content that was created without their consent or that was deep-forged using their facial information.
As more and more automatically generated artificial intelligence can replace the facial features of specific characters with those of different people, more and more faces of celebrities, Internet celebrities, and even ordinary people may be used for pranks on the Internet. Therefore, Google plans to update its search security policy to make it easier for users to remove such content that affects personal privacy.
When a user discovers that their personal face or private content has been deliberately forged by others, they must attach the URL, screenshots and related images for review. Once the application is successful, Google will remove the links to false and explicit content that use their face and are forged without consent from the search results. At the same time, Google will automatically filter all identical or similar content from its services and remove them from the service.
However, at present, Google can only remove relevant links from its search service results. If deep fake false and explicit content is stored on other service platforms, or is linked by other search engine services or artificial intelligence service records, it cannot be removed through Google services.
On the other hand, Google also announced that it will adjust the search rankings of websites that are prone to false and explicit content, and try to rank websites that contain high-quality content and do not contain explicit content higher. At the same time, it also emphasized that it will work to reduce the proportion of false and explicit content.
