OnMicrosoft and other companiesAfter continuously using artificial intelligence to enhance the development of assistant service applications, Google also announced the launch of an assistant service called Agentspace on the Google Cloud cloud platform to help enterprise users handle work matters more efficiently.
Agentspace assistant service goal is to simplify the workflow of enterprise users
Raj Pai, vice president of product management for cloud artificial intelligence at Google Cloud, pointed out that enterprise users use an average of 4-6 tools to assist in solving a single problem. This often requires searching for data across teams or switching between different application services, which may lead to the leakage of personal privacy or data content and waste time.
Therefore, in the assistant service design concept called Agentspace, Google uses the search function to enhance the assistant service's ability to handle things, and increases generative search results through the assistant service. When integrating artificial intelligence applications such as RAG (Retrieval Augmentation Generation), search and assistant services will be able to help enterprise users complete various tasks in a more efficient manner.
For example, corporate users can expand their search capabilities through the integration of RAG technology to search for internal company data and compare it with publicly available online content, making data collection more complete, accurate, and efficient. In the assistant service that integrates RAG technology, artificial intelligence can be used to help handle daily tedious tasks. It can even be used through Google's recently proposed artificial intelligence note-taking service NotebookLM, or the newly proposed paid upgraded version NotebookLM Plus, to quickly organize key points of text and voice content, and organize key projects for specific topics.
In addition, the Agentspace assistant service can be compatible with many existing Google services such as Google Calendar and Google Docs, as well as third-party application services such as Dropbox, Box, Slack, and OneDrive. As for search technology, it also integrates the Knowledge Graph and Google web search functions. Enterprise users can also build their own assistant services in a code-free way to correspond to different workflows. Related APIs will be opened in the future to enable enterprises or developers to create more advanced assistant services.
Emphasizes complete protection of data privacy and is suitable for teams that need to compile large amounts of data.
Regarding privacy protection, Google stated that the Agentspace assistant service will adhere to its privacy policy and will not use corporate users for other purposes. It will not leak any information, nor will it spy on any sensitive corporate information. Only users can see and manage personal or internal corporate data. At the same time, it can also ensure data security through the operation of various components of the service and avoid transmitting data outside the work team or to people other than authorized persons.
Raj Pai stated that Agentspace's assistant service is ideal for teams such as corporate marketing, software development, or human resources that need to compile large amounts of data. Companies including Deloitte, the world's largest accounting firm, Banco BV, Brazil's seventh-largest bank, Nokia, and Decathlon have already introduced Agentspace's assistant service, improving their employees' productivity.
It is connected to the Gemini artificial intelligence model and may support other artificial intelligence models in the future.
Currently, the Agentspace assistant service is powered by Gemini artificial intelligence and will be connected to the recently announcedGemini 2.0 artificial intelligence modelHowever, Google stated that it may consider adding support for other artificial intelligence models in the future. Currently, the Agentspace assistant service is only available for enterprise use, but a version suitable for general users may be released in the future depending on the situation.
At this stage, it is still available for testing in beta form. Google has not yet announced the price of using the Agentspace assistant service.this linkApply for testing.
