Google earlier launched the Art and Culture LabAn experimental project called "Viola the Bird", allowing users to quickly play music composed by classical musicians such as Beethoven and Bach directly through the mouse or touchpad, or perform freely in freestyle.
The "Viola the Bird" experimental project is based on a neural network system that uses deep learning to instantly synthesize violin and cello string sounds. The training data comes from recordings made by Google in collaboration with many cello and violin musicians, thereby interpreting a more natural performance sound.
The user interface is very simple. Simply drag the mouse or touchpad left or right on the screen to create different sound rhythms based on the speed of the drag. In addition to playing music composed by classical musicians, users can also choose free play mode to play freely.
In addition, the birds in the "Viola the Bird" experimental project were actually trained through deep learning methods, so the actual movements they present are quite natural and do not appear rigid.
Google has previously launched a similar designAn experimental project called "Blob Opera", allowing users to drag left and right, up and down with a mouse or touchpad to create singing effects like tenor, bass, soprano or alto.
