Google will make it easy for creators to remove songs or music from YouTube videos that have copyright issues without affecting other music or sound content in the clip.
In fact, Google has previously provided creators with solutions to copyright issues related to songs or music in YouTube videos, but previously this was mainly done by allowing creators to delete the affected clips or choose to mute the clips, or otherwise allowing creators to choose to re-upload the adjusted video content.
In the new version, Google uses artificial intelligence technology to launch an upgraded song removal tool, which can remove music or song content with copyright issues without affecting other music or sounds in the same clip.
In fact, Google has tested this tool function, but did not achieve ideal results. Therefore, it was redesigned to make it more accurate. The new version of the song removal tool will be available through YouTube Studio in the next few weeks.
However, Google also stated that this tool may not be able to cope with all situations. For example, when music with copyright issues is interfered with by other sounds or the original sound quality is poor, although it can still be correctly distinguished by the human ear, it cannot be correctly distinguished by artificial intelligence technology. In this case, users may still have to resolve music copyright issues through other means, such as muting the affected content.
