Google earlier provided the Gemini App, which can be used independently for iPhone. It is now available for download and use through the App Store in regions including Taiwan, Australia, India, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Before this, users could actually switch to the Gemini operating interface within the iOS version of the Google App, but there were still some differences in execution response speed and interactive functions compared to the currently released independent Gemini App.
The available functions include asking various questions through Gemini, automatically generating images, generating text content, or using the Google Lens function to search. It can also be connected with services such as Google Maps, YouTube, Google Flight, Gmail, Google Drive and Google Docs.
At the same time, within this app, you can also choose to use the paid subscription version of Gemini Advanced service to access more Gemini artificial intelligence features.
Compared to Apple's current "Apple Intelligence" service, which is only available on the iPhone 15 Pro series or iPhone 16 series and later models, Google's independently usable Gemini App can be used on models such as the iPhone 16 series and iPhone X that have been updated to iOS 8 or later, allowing more older iPhones to use Google's artificial intelligence application services.
As for Google bringing Gemini to iPhone models, it is actually not surprising. After all, the scale of the global iPhone user base will attract more people to use Gemini artificial intelligence services. At the same time, Apple has previously been rumored to be cooperating with OpenAI on the "Apple Intelligence" service, and may also negotiate cooperation with Google.
